Based in central Hove, East Sussex, I offer short-term face-to-face sessions, long-term open-ended psychotherapy and also work online with adults and young people (15-18).
I have a broad range of expertise covering areas ranging from anxiety, depression and emotional disturbance to family conflict, life transitions and relationship issues.
How do I know it’s right for me?
I am particularly passionate about family-informed approaches. I integrate creative approaches, including dream work, to help navigate, understand and process complex emotions.
I have been in practice as a qualified psychotherapist for the last five years and have over 20 years of experience working with teens.
My experience includes working as an honorary therapist at Brighton Women’s Centre, supporting teens and their families through CAMHS, and extensive experience as a secondary school/ sixth form teacher.
After qualifying as a secondary school teacher in 2001, I became increasingly interested in the field of mental health and well-being. In 2021, I gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapy from the University of Brighton. I then studied for a Masters degree at the University of Brighton and gained UKCP accreditation after graduating with an MSc in Psychotherapy in 2024.
How will we work together?
I generally see clients in person – either in my own consulting rooms in central Hove or as part of the Phoenix Therapy Practice in Brighton and Hove. However, if needed, I am happy to conduct therapy sessions online over Zoom or similar.
Fees:
£60 per session for individuals.
I work with several insurance companies including Aviva and Axa Health.
I am able to offer a limited number of concessionary spaces.
